Through this tour opportunity, we’re able to send a group of students and ISyE advisors to tour the Amazon Fulfillment Center. The group was made up of students (both Ph.D. and undergraduate), Dr. Chen Zhou, a visiting instructor, and academic advisor Stacy Gangloff, all touring the Amazon warehouse in Chattanooga, Tenn.

During the hour-long tour, the group learned about how Amazon processes millions of orders and ships them out quickly and efficiently through a combination of on-the-ground workers and technology. The exclusive trip opportunity was organized by our chapter advisor Dr. Zhou.
