APM AND GTIA CAREER FORUM
Date: 21 January 2016
APM and GTIA Career Forum 2016 was held on 21st January 2016 from 5:39- 9pm at the Festival Level, Student Success Center for all Georgia Tech Students. It was an excellent opportunity for students to develop the skills and know-how required for professional opportunities like Career Fair and Interviews. The event was a joint collaboration between Georgia Tech International Ambassadors (GTIA) and Georgia Tech Alpha Pi Mu.
The event included a resume critique workshop, elevator pitch instruction, as well as an opportunity to network with students and company representatives. Representatives from the Georgia Tech Centre For Career Discovery And Development (C2D2) and the Georgia Tech Communication Center (CommLab) assisted with the conduct of these sessions, following which we had a very talented Student Panel, comprising of students who helped address and clear student doubts relating to internships.
It was a very well, received event. We had about 170 online sign-ups followed up by 140 individuals, including GTIA and APM Members, who attended the event.
Food was also provided for the event. Overall, this first of its kind event organized by Alpha Pi Mu was executed perfectly, and all those who attended it absolutely enjoyed it and took away a lot.
