One of our own ISyE students Murtaza Bambot, who is an expert of the app Linkedin, gave a lecture on how the recruiting tools on Linkedin and how to optimize profiles for them.

The event was held on Campus in Klaus room 2456 from 7 PM to 8 PM. Food was provided. Murtaza divided his presentation into two major parts. Firstly, he gave a 5-step recommendation on how to improve Linkedin Profiles: optimize your content- pull in recommendations- add to the discussion- join relevant groups- connect offline. Then, he introduced how to utilize the recruiting searching tools in Linkedin. Moreover, he took some time to show his audiences how to find anyone’s email, which is a simple presentation that ties together tools online to help find important and useful people online and then find their email address to easily reach out.

The event was a joint effort by APM and Undergraduate Consulting Club. Students a the event were all able to improve their Linkedin profile and connect with each other at the event.
